A performance by Guda Koster and Frans van Tartwijk at the Stadtsparkasse in Wuppertal March 2026.
For Spitting Fur the artists borrowed the basic segments of Brancusi’s Infinite Column (1938), but unlike the famous original they covered the work with artificial reddish brown squirrel-like fur, so giving the work an absurdistic touch, creating something between a huge, friendly pet and a robot. The sculpture glided smoothly through the exhibition space –the hall of a bank building- occasionally spitting out banknotes which were eagerly snatched up by the visitors.
