‘The lounge’ is an installation made for the exhibition Aplomb in Societëit Vereeniging Haarlem. This societëit was founded in 1856 by 24 Haarlem entrepreneurs as a club for middle-class men. Now it is a meeting place for enterprising people.
There was a Chesterfield couch in the room that I was given. It was a challenge to integrate couch and chairs in my work.
