More or Less

A red figure covered from neck to knees with red textile shopping bags wandered through the LAM museum and the lush park surrounding it. Every now and again it stopped and recited parts of a specially made shopping poem through its megaphone. The poem consisted of common supermarket products, but had also had an absurd edge to it. Shopping and (over)consumption are a recurring theme in the performances of Guda Koster and Frans van Tartwijk. The performance and sculpture More or Less were commissioned by the LAM Museum in Lisse (NL) and part of the collection of the museum.
