Beauty(s) is the theme of the 2026–2027 Clermont-Ferrand Textile Biennial, an ambitious celebration of contemporary textile. This time, a golden procession wound its way through the streets of Clermont-Ferrand for nearly two hours on Saturday 4 July.
The image of tens of people dressed in gold recalls a religious procession, but the choice of emergency blankets – intended to protect the victims of disasters – adds a contemporary layer. It refers to fragility, solidarity, and the current stories that shape our era.
Commisoned by HS Projets , the costumes were created by Guda Koster and Atelier Autour du Costume, music by Puzzle Live, and led by the Contretemps theatre company.
